A bounty hunter and Mandalorian hired by Darth Vader to find the Millennium Falcon, he is a villain in both Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones establishes Boba Fett's back story as a child clone of bounty hunter Jango Fett, who raises him as a son. Boba is created for Jango by the cloners of the Planet Kamino, who also created the Clone Army that the republic will eventually enlist.
